Spray Tanning FAQ

What is Spray Tanning?

Spray tanning is the safest way to achieve a natural glow or deep bronze without UV rays. NV Beauty Boutique uses a natural beet sugar called dihydroxyacetone (DHA), which reacts naturally with your skin to create a radiant golden tan every time.

How long does it last?

Spray tans last 1-3 weeks

How do I prepare for a spray tan appointment?

Once the spray tan technician arrives to your location, prepare by being freshly showered with no extra oils, deodorant or moisturizer on your skin. Exfoliating before an appointment is recommended. Choose if you would like to be sprayed in a bikini or nude and keep in mind what you wear will effect your tan lines. The spray tan technician will ask you to apply special cream to hands and feet and ask you to wear a shower cap. Once the spray tan technician sets up her spray tanning tent, step in and get ready, set go!

What are the aftercare steps ?

It’s important not to shower for 12 hours after your spray tan. Careful what clothes you want to wear as some of the tanning residue might come off following your tan. If it’s raining, use an umbrella! Proper aftercare ensures a longer lasting tan.

Why choose NV Beauty boutique for spray tans?

What are the health risks involved?

The number 1 and most commonly known danger lies in an omega-3 fatty acid known as DHA. Spray tans contain anywhere between 1 and 15 percent DHA — a color additive that when inhaled or exposed to the eye nose and lip areas can cause severe headaches, nausea and dizziness. #spraytan #tan #tanning #niagaraspraytan #st.Catharinesspraytan #spraytantraining #dha
