Do it Yourself – Fake Eyelashes Tutorial
Luscious Lashes can create a dramatic, luxurious or simple look. Some women choose to get lash extensions or lash lift and tints to get full lashes, but those can get expensive. Today, we’re going to look at an inexpressive and effective way to create a full lash look by using fake eyelashes.
What you’ll need:
- A set of fake lashes
- Lash glue
- Tweezers or lash holder
- Lash curler
Step 1: Preparing your natural lashes
Curl your natural lashes upward and apply mascara
Why? This will add more volume to the result
Step 2: Prepping the fake lashes
Using your fingers or tweezers, gently pull the fake lashes off the packaging. Be careful not to rip them or ruin their shape. Before applying lash glue, measure the fake lashes to your eyelid. If they are too long, trim them. Always trim the lashes at the outer corners. Slightly bend the lashes so they have a small curve to them.
Why? Preparing the fake lashes properly will make the process easier when glue is applied.
Step 4: Adding glue
Hold the fake lashes with tweezers or a lash holder. Add a thin line of glue to the band of the lashes. Let the glue sit for 20 seconds before applying the lashes to your eye.
Why? Over-gluing can be messy
Step 5: Applying the lashes
Apply the lashes from the inner corner of the eye to the outside of the eye. Try to get the band as close as possible to the lash line. Immediately stick down the edges.
Why? Starting at the inner corner makes sure they don’t get too close to the tear duct.
Step 6: Repeat on the other side!
Voila! Perfect fake lashes ?
Enjoy your perfect fake eyelashes!
